John CONSTABLE | View towards the rectory, East Bergholt

can one be full, be complete
can one’s being be there expansive and at peace
can one see calm and stillness that abides
without the fullness in the touch of nature?
without a seeing of the grass in its entirety
without the flower in its fullness;
without the cool or hot wind as may blow
on one’s skin
and that it was there on the skin
and the skin was with the wind, intense and aware
in all their fullness, each with the other;
and without the stars full in one’s eyes
and without the moon in its clarity or covered –
and one fully in the moment with nature
can one otherwise ever be full, complete and entire?
without that infinite touch of nature
though but in one intense second?
can one be full, be complete
can one’s being be there expansive and at peace
