this series is dedicated to bhavna14 –
because she asked me to write one on Tom and Jerry;
and it’s also dedicated to meerajay because she’s always happy
and laughing: hee! hee! hee!

Tom sings
I’m just a homely pussy cat
look-after-home and mat;
watch out for dirty mice
and give them a warm welcome
on the red carpet of tongue
Jerry sings
I’m just a nicey, nicey mouse
harmless, and just with my
own corner in this big wide world;
and all I need r
just a teeny-weeny bit of cheese
and a bit of scrap here and there
Tom sings
Ah, I’ve sharpened my claws
and been to the cat-kill-mice dentist;
I’ve used dental floss
and cleaned my tongue
got scent for my mouth
and just the right touch of deodorant
just so to give a fragrant welcome
to that smelly rodent!
And – yes - I’ve got the speed of wheels in my legs:
and here I’ll wait
cool and suave, leaning against the chair –
blowing at my finger-nails;
ah, I’ll wait like a cunning thief in the dark
waiting for that stupid mouse!
Jerry comes out…
Tom chases Jerry
Jerry runs;
Tom slips on wet patch on tiles
knocks over vase
vase breaks
and big fat mistress comes
and knocks Tom on his head:
Jerry leans against foot of chair,
blowing at finger-nails…
Tom Sings (sadly)
Oh, I’m faster than a panther
but that stupid rodent’s faster than lightning;
Oh, I’m as cunning as a fox
but that Jerry’s as skilful as a kung-fu master…
…and my head! …and my poor head!
Jerry sings (sadly)
Oh, poor Tom -
mistress broke his head;
now he’ll be out of action
for at least half-an-hour:
but poor me –
where ‘m I going to get my fun
during those long thirty minutes?

bhavna14 - I'm so glad you and meerajay - and all the other visitors too, like yashisv, enjoyed this series...
I'll post Part 3 in the Tom and Jerry series a few minutes from now; then I may write a few more on comics or move on to new territory, who knows...
But truly thanks for enjoying especially the Tom and Jerry series...

so Raj ji bringing us back to tour of our childhood ..... my son too likes Tom and jerry.
I like the competitve spirit and their ever ending fight thouhh both of them acknowledge other's virtues and try to out smart each other..... a true example of cut throat competiton,,,,,,
